Acton Up Kitten Rescue gets new humane Traps for TNR and kitten rescue
We just added three brand new FixNation style domestic/feral cat traps to our collection of traps we use for kitten and adult cat Trap Neuter Release. They work great, and best of all it means we don't have to make extra trips down to FixNation to borrow traps (they only accept these type when fixing ferals for free), catching the adult ferals, taking them down to FixNation to be fixed, picking them up again (all with the same traps), letting them free, fixed, ear-tipped (this tells animal control they are a fixed animal that isn't worth their time to catch), and then driving the traps back to FixNation to drop them off.
WHEW, the gas alone (4 round trips from Acton to Sun Valley), now we only make two round trips. We book cats to be fixed at FixNation, catch them in our brand new FixNation compliant traps, drive them down, and then come back to pick them up, release them, and just go home with our traps in tow.
Just 2 round trips YIPEE!
